I firmly believe that it is NOT difficult to QUIT, if you KNOW how to do it!  It seems that many people have a vested interest in making you think that it is difficult to QUIT Smoking or Vaping and in some cases, they actively maintain your addiction to nicotine. There are some prerequisites to successfully quitting, you have to want to QUIT. You do have to make an effort to achieve the goal but the other things you learn during the session with me will assist in your goal. No-one can make you magically stop smoking but once you make up your mind it can be achieved quickly, pleasantly and easily. Hypnotherapy can certainly assist with achieving the correct state of mind. The unique technique I use concentrates on the TWO main physical aspects of smoking as well as the TWO psychological aspects. Most other systems approach smoking in a very simplistic way and only deal with the physical habit and Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) keeps you addicted to nicotine while doing little or nothing to deal with the psychological processes that are a key part of the smoking addiction. I understand this only too well myself. I started smoking at the age of about thirteen and by the time I QUIT, in my late twenties, was smoking over sixty cigarettes a day. The techniques I teach you are the updated version of how I QUIT smoking, thanks to my father. (See below) Many people are concerned that they will put on weight or take up some other bad habit, this will only happen if you replace one bad habit with another bad habit (cold turkey techniques often cause this). My goal is to teach you several good habits to replace the bad.

Some statistics

  1. Each year more than 18,000 Australians die prematurely because of smoking – that is 50 a day.
  2. Smoking kills more people in Australia than the total number killed by drink, drugs, murder, suicide, terrorist attacks, road crashes, rail crashes, air crashes, poisoning, drowning, fires, falls, lightning, electrocution, snakes, spiders and sharks.
  3. Of 1,000 young Australian males who smoke, 1 will be murdered, 15 will be killed on the road and 250 will be killed before their time by tobacco. Source: Australian Council On Smoking and Health

Over 50 years ago, Leslie Bullock, my late father, invented a system to help people give up smoking cigarettes and other addictive substances, which has proven to be very successful. Using a combination of stress management techniques, self hypnosis and specialised suggestions and ideas, I have helped many people to quit smoking or vaping, quickly, easily and pleasantly using updated versions of his protocols. Quit Now! Stress Management and treatment of Anxiety or Panic attacks

Why do I place Stress Management at the top of my list? Because managing stress is fundamental to dealing with all the issues I work with. There is always an element of negative stress in any addiction, phobia or bad habit. There are many different kinds of stress, there is even “good” stress, the stress that motivates you to do the positive things you do every day. Built into every session I do, is an element of dealing with stress which includes relaxation and self-hypnosis techniques.

Possible Stressors include:

  • Major Lifestyle changes such as a new job or promotion, divorce or unemployment.
  • Unexpected life events like the death of a loved one or sudden loss of a job.
  • Accumulative events over a period of time, work, financial, study or personal problems, fears, doubts and worries.

Signs and symptoms include shallow or rapid breathing, palpitations, fear, panic and self-doubt. There may also be sweating, blushing and occasionally difficulty speaking.

When these things are having an effect on our lives, a new strategy is required. The self-hypnosis and relaxation techniques I teach are designed to be quick easy and effective to implement at those times they are most necessary. This will require a little practise on your part, however, most people are pleasantly surprised at how quickly they can learn to relax and how rapidly they gain benefits.

I have helped many people to deal with alcohol problems. By dealing with underlying drives, stresses, tensions or emotional problems, we have found that people can stop drinking altogether.If you want to stop you can! I have found that two or three sessions is all that is usually required for clients to quit or to reach their planned and safe level of alcohol consumption. 2004-2005: Australians overall gambled $142 billion in turnover of which 72% was on gambling machines (pokies). In NSW, Victoria and Queensland gambling on pokies is about 90% of total wagering.

I teach self-hypnosis and stress management techniques – learning how to deal with stress in a more constructive way.       Sorry it took so long to respond to this, personally I think it is a good idea to avoid any product that involves nicotine. There is very little (read none) recognised research on the long term effects of ‘vaping’. Why would you do it? Maintaining an addiction by using the drug of addiction is ridiculous. In my opinion this includes any nicotine replacement therapy. The real aim is to QUIT altogether, then you are free.
